MediumMeet Brooklyn, the female agouti. Brooklyn came into the Shelter as a stray. A good Samaritan had been feeding her for about three weeks but was unable to care for her in the long term. Brooklyn was noted to be friendly with the person that was feeding her (canât blame her there!). Brooklyn is food motivated and has warmed up to staff with time and patience. She started to solicit attention and enjoys scratches all over. After four days in our care, staff had said she is a âvery sweet ladyâ. Brooklyn would make a great companion for a variety of homes. She has experience living with other neutral cats so a home with a resident kitty may be a fit in the next home. She lived outdoors previously and could do well indoor-outdoor, although adopters are strongly encouraged to do supervised outdoor time to keep their feline companions safe and sound. Please note: Our Santa Cruz Location is open from 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
