MediumMeet Louie (orange tabby) & Prima (black) â the bonded pair! These two kitties came into the Shelter after a tenant on a property left them behind. Upon arrival to the Shelter, they were both hiding and avoidant. With time, patience and some TLC with staff â it was observed that Louie comes over immediately soliciting attention and Prima follows his lead. Due to their relationship and the benefit Louie plays in Primaâs confidence â it is required that they go to a home together. Other feline friends int eh home may be a fit provided there is a slow introduction. Adopters should be patient in the transition as these two settle in as they will then will begin to show off their purr-sonalities. This cat's adoption fee is sponsored by our Bogey Fund - a fund that shines a light on the often overlooked black cats in Shelters & assist with finding them adoptive homes. Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
