Scritch kittens

SCRITCH Kittens is it Foster based rescue with headquarters in foster homes in Santa Clara County. We focus on providing support and Care for animals in the shelter that are shy or sick that need rehabilitation before becoming adoptable. Typically animals will spend 2 to 4 weeks in a foster home and when fully recovered and social enough for adoption then we move forward. My name is Jennifer flick and I started scritch 2 years ago to fill the gap for kittens that were not adoptable at the shelter and were at risk of euthanasia or TNR at a very young age. We do accept animals from the community if we have availability but at the moment we are focusing on the San Jose Animal Care Center.

Meet Grover

This adorable kitten is ready for their forever home! SCRITCH Kittens are fostered with care in loving homes so they are well socialized before their adoption. Each kitten has scrupulously maintained medical records, a microchip, is flea treated, dewormed, neutered/spayed and has all of their allowed shots for their age. This litter is FIV/FELV tested and negative. https://forms.gle/Mpfrt7v7Nbyu5Btj7 About our process: Someone will review your application and be in touch to do an initial screening interview. Then you'll have the opportunity to do a video chat with your future kitten and their foster so you can learn more about their personality and see them when they're most comfortable. If it's a good fit for you both, we'll move forward with the adoption. *It is always recommended to adopt young kittens in pairs. *Adoptions are typically limited to a maximum 50 mile radius of our Santa Clara home base. We look forward to connecting with you soon!

Adoption Process
We have people fill out an application and then do a phone interview with our adoptions counselor, followed by a video meeting between the Foster family and the potential adopter. If everything is determined to be a fit then there is an in-person meeting and a contract is filled out and the adoption fees are paid, our basic adoption fee is $200. All of our animals are fixed and microchipped, vaccinated dewormed and flea traded before adopting
