The Dancing Cat

We are a rescue organization focused on connecting homeless cats to their forever home. We rescue cats from the local shelter and community. For thos cats that require medical attention or socialization we have foster homes where we place the cats until they are healthy or socialized to the point where they can be adopted. We also take healthy cats directly to our cat lounge where they are available for adoption. We do this because we do not want to see any cat linger in the shelter or on the streets when we can help them find a loving home.

Meet Coco (Courtesy Post)

Coco is a delicate, sweet-natured girl who thrives in calm, peaceful environments. She’s very shy at first and tends to hide when startled, but once she feels safe and builds trust, her affectionate side shines through. She has a playful streak, especially when string toys are involved, and once comfortable, she becomes a total lap cat. Coco loves curling up with someone she trusts, offering soft companionship and quiet affection. She’s quiet, non-destructive, and easy to have around. While she doesn’t scratch furniture or cause trouble, she does enjoy nibbling on shoelaces and strings, so those are best kept tucked away. Coco would thrive in a quiet, peaceful home with a gentle, patient adopter who can give her the time and space to settle in and flourish. She is good with cats, and would likely be okay with a calm, well mannered dog and gentle, quiet children. Coco is being cared for by a member of the community.  To arrange to meet this cat or find out more, please fill out our application here: https://www.thedancingcat.org/adopt-courtesy For more information regarding our Courtesy Posts, see www.thedancingcat.org/courtesy-posts

Adoption Process
Cats are met via a foster home visit, a visit to the adoption lounge or via social media. An application for the animal is submitted for reivew. The potential adopter will be contacted to discuss the particular animal they have chosen to determine if the match is appropriate. If approved the adopter pays an adoption fee (Adult Cat $130/Senior Cat (over 10) $80. An adoption agreement is completed by the adopter. We deliver the cat to the household. We send a medical summary to the adopter once the paperwork has been finalized.
