Zorro is a sweety that had lived his entire life indoors until he came to us. While in foster care he had limited exposure to the great outdoors. He loves being near "his people", and gets along well with dogs, but requires a slow introduction to other cats. Despite his fondness for company, Zorro is independent and not clingy, he has great house manners. He will not dash out the door, is not a trip hazard nor does he hide from new people. Zorro recognizes his name, behaves well off lead (as long as there are no strange cats around) and is very comfortable RV camping. Zorro may have an allergy to cotton and certain B vitamins, as we have found limiting his access to these things has helped his fur grow in beautifully since he first came to us. In summary, Zorro is an adventurous cat who is easy to live with, but really wants a stay-at-home family to hang out with. This great cat is such a loving boy, he really is a favorite in the shelter and is a bright part of our day. Zorro loves to lounge, look out windows, perch high and is both playful and laid back. He bats around his favorite toy (a sparkly fuzz ball) and his little quirks make us smile as he uses his feet like a human. We love our Zorro and would be thrilled to find his forever home. Zorro deserves love and companionship as he gives a lot of love and affection to his humans. Would you like to give Zorro a try? To meet Zorro, please text/call or email ... In the meantime if you would be interested in fostering him and live somewhat locally we would consider that option as well. He deserves more than shelter life and we feel he would thrive in a home of his own.
Adoption Process
When someone releases an animal to HPHS, we require a signed release form. We then have the animal vaccinated and spayed or neutered before offering it for adoption. Adoption fees vary and are listed with each animal.
