Calliope

New Beginnings for Animals

We are a no kill rescue group in southern california. Our primary focus is rescuing animals off of death row and local high kill shelters before they are to be euthanized. We then either board them or place them in foster homes so we can better access their personalities before placing them in loving homes. All our animals are seen by our vets, spayed/neutered, given approriate vaccines, some are microchipped, FELV/FIV tested if they are cats, heartworm tested for dogs and given flea treatment prior to adoption.

Meet Calliope

Calliope is about 1-2 years old, we rescued her from the Hesperia Shelter. Upon arrival to the shelter it was determined that she had a pelvic fracture from an unknown cause. After consulting with 2 vets restricted cage rest was recommended vs surgery.... She is healing well and gets around great, but she is pretty shy. She loves pets and human attention however so we are confident once she gets into a nice quiet home her personality will come thru  Interested in meeting and /or adopting this sweet girl? Visit http://greatpets.org/cat-adoption-application for an online application Location: Aliso Viejo Petsmart Adoption Center Calliope's $175 adoption fee includes her vet exam while in our care, felv/fiv test, fecal, spay surgery, microchip, flea treatment, and current vaccinations (age appropriate).

Adoption Process
All interested parties are required to fill out a pre-adoption questionarre. This helps us in placing the right animal in the right home. Our goal is to place our rescued animals in the right new forever home. Most of these animals have been thru so much and we want to make their transition into their new homes go as smoothly as possible.
