Meet PERSIMMON*

Meet Persimmon, a sweet little bundle of joy looking for his forever home! Much like the fruit he's named after, Persimmon is a perfect mix of vibrant energy and irresistible charm. Whether he's pouncing on a toy or curling up for snuggles, Persimmon will fill your home with sweetness and warmth. We fostered Persimmon (aka `Persy`) in our home for 2 weeks, and during that time saw him quickly adapt to his new surroundings and become comfortable with the presence of adults and children. He also followed our adult cat around everywhere, and he would really benefit from being in a home with another cat who will play with him and enjoy his undivided attention. He used his litter box without fail, has a generous appetite, and even used a cat scratcher!Persimmon can still be a little skittish around loud noises and fast movements, and will back away if you stand over him- but he never once hissed nor scratched! I have full confidence that his skittish behaviors would be minimal once he settles into his new surroundings. If approached calmly, Persimmon enjoys a good scratch and cuddle like the best of them, and is a purring machine. Adopt Persimmon today, and let him brighten your life, just like his namesake fruit! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
