Meet Misty (A212761)! Misty came in with her sisters Minnie A212760 and Stella A212775. Misty was raised with lots of love in a home with three small dogs. Her guardian is experiencing major health issues and sadly had to relinquish all of her pets to the shelter. Misty has been raised as an indoor only kitty. Misty is a very loveable cat. She is a lapcat and wants love. Misty may swat at your hand when you stop petting her because she wants more (she does not use her claws). She is described as calm, but is playful and enjoys balls and mice toys. She loves catnip. She gets along with their three small dogs, but will swat at them if she gets annoyed with them. Misty can be finicky with food so she gives her canned food as a treat. She slept in bed with her guardian every night.
Adoption Process
Adopters fill out a 2-page questionnaire, interview with a staff person, and pay the adoption fee. We are in the process of transitioning to "open adoptions" with few formalized requirements. The full adoption fees are approximately $160 for dogs and $110 for cats, but we have regular 'specials'.
