Meet Bell Pepper
Meet Bell Pepper – A Spicy but Sweet Work in Progress! ️Bell Pepper is a big, beautiful orange-and-white tabby with a heart as soft as his fluffy fur—though he’s still learning that humans can be friends, not foes! This extra-large lad has had a rough start in life, leaving him very scared of people. He’s currently enrolled in an exclusive (and very patient) behavioral training program to help him feel safer around humans. Progress is slow, but like a good stew, some things just take time to simmer.Bell Pepper prefers to keep his distance for now—he’s more of a “watch from the shadows” kind of guy rather than a cuddlebug. He’s still working on building trust, so he’ll need a very understanding and gentle adopter who’s okay with letting him take things at his own pace (which, fair warning, might be at a snail’s crawl). One of Bell Pepper’s favorite pastimes is looking out the window, where he can safely observe the outside world without any scary humans getting too close. Whether he’s watching birds, squirrels, or just the wind in the trees, this quiet activity brings him a little comfort in his otherwise cautious world. On top of being a shy guy, Bell Pepper has some mobility issues with his back legs. He gets around just fine, but he may need some accommodations like low-entry litter boxes and easy-to-reach cozy spots where he can observe his kingdom from a safe distance. If you’ve got a heart as big as this chunky tabby and the patience of a saint, Bell Pepper might just learn to sprinkle a little trust your way. He’s looking for a forever home that’s willing to accept him as he is—trauma, timidness, and all. Are you the gentle soul willing to let this spicy boy take his time to find his sweetness? ️ Born February 2023. foster: EC Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.
