Animal Rescue of the Rockies

ARR was formed in 2003 to provide an alternative to shelter environments for homeless dogs and cats. By providing foster homes as a temporary measure until forever homes can be found, our pets are socialized and cared for individually.

Meet Fosca

Have you ever seen such a beautiful kitty? Well, that's me, Fosca. I am the cutest and most petite little girl! I am very small but so fluffy and soft. My foster mom says my tail is her favorite dust feather.I have been through a lot in my young life. I was a feral kitty and lived outside until I was rescued in Loma, Colorado. I had a litter of kittens and I was such a good mom. I was taken care of and given all of the medical necessities I needed to grow into a kitty no longer having to live scared without a home. I did test positive for FIP - which is Feline Infectious Peritonitis, and I received three months of treatment with my foster. I have recovered and am a very healthy kitty.I love to be pet and will come to you with gentle and soft voices. I am still getting used to being approached and when my foster does come to me, she comes to me very slow and calmly. I love chin and cheek scratches the most. Sometimes, I will roll over and let her rub my belly, which is a good sign that I am becoming comfortable! Since I have been here in her home, I have started to sleep next to her at night and love to cuddle. I am learning trust and love. I do not hiss or swat. I will allow my foster to pick me up sometimes. In my foster home, I have 2 big kitty resident sisters that I like to play with. I do not fight with them, as I am such a calm and chill girl. My foster mom is working hard on getting me to come to her and will put out her hand and call me. I will come to get a pet, then I will go on my way. I am learning to trust and learning that I am safe and in no time, I will be asking for more pets and to be picked up more. Some of my favorite things are breakfast and dinner time, crunchy treats from the bag that my foster mom shakes. I can take treats from her hand and I look really cute. I will chase balls and I absolutely love wand toys! I love to be in the sunshine and look out the windows, but I absolutely do not go outdoors. I want to live the rest of my life on comfy blankets, and humans that can give me a calm and safe place to live. I love things that I can scratch on towers, scratch posts, anything on the floor, and even let mom trim my nails. I like to be brushed too.I would prefer a home that is quiet and calm. I do like having kitty friends to play with, but I would be ok with just humans, particularly if they are at home during the day as well. I am litterbox trained and have good manners.I can't wait to find my forever family! Please consider me to be your best kitty friend. I am waiting to thrive and be 100% comfortable with my environment. See more on IG @keri.ann.75 foster: KS  Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These "guardian kittens" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These "guardian cats" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under)    $125 for cats (older than 6 months)    $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
