Meet Petunia
First off -- this young girl is amazing and super confident! Petunia is a very petite cat. When approached by a resident cat (twice her size) in her foster home, Petunia stood her ground and hissed at him. After that, no other cat bothers her, and they all get along. Petunia has a silky, soft, short coat. She enjoys playing with toys and other cats/kittens. However, her favorite thing is bedtime. When she thinks it's time for her humans to go to bed, she will jump on them, circle around them if they get up, pace, and run towards the stairs. When it's actually bedtime, she walks with her human to bed, joins them, and collapses (body slams) into your arms for her snuggle time. She will even do a happy dance for you, which is a combination of biscuit making with her front paws and a light stamping with her back paws. Petunia enjoys wet food, being held for short periods of time, and being on a lap. At this time, she hasn't been around dogs, but with her level of confidence, she would likely do fine. She would do well in a quiet home where someone can give her the attention she deserves. Petunia was born around August 29, 2023, and is currently being fostered in Naugatuck. She is fixed, up-to-date on shots, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved. Applications for adoption can be found at our website at www.fosterandforever.org. Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24-48 hours.
Adoption Process
Visit our website to fill out an application either on-line or download a form (fill it out and email it back to us). This will start the adoption process.
All applicants must provide references including a vet (please give them permission to speak to us). Note that we do not place our pets in homes with children under 5, this protects the children and our pets.
Once references are checked a home visit will be scheduled and then a meet and greet with the pet.
