Meet Sable

Sable is a 3 year old female special needs sweetheart with asthma (her asthma is easily controlled by being given a pill in her treat once a day)  who was rescued 3 years ago and has been in foster care ever since.  Here’s her background. Sable was rescued behind a scrap metal yard and was living in rough conditions underneath a dumpster. She was taken to the vet and it was said that she had a mouth issue. After spending more and more time with her, studying her health, it was discovered that she did have mild stomatitis. That mild stomatitis had quickly gone to being a serious and aggressive painful stomatitis, which had prevented her to eat food and be active, as it would cause pain. After giving her a series of steroids to reduce the inflammation and pain meds, we saw that it wasn’t having much impact. She wasn’t eating properly and it was causing her overall health to go downhill. It was decided that the only solution was to have her teeth removed because that is the only way that could stop all the pain. After raising the much needed funds, she got her extraction, and it surely made such a positive difference! We were all so happy to see her back to herself. She has been through so much and we just want to see this beautiful girl find her forever home. We want to see her happy and feeling loved in her new home with her new family. Adoption Process
Fill out adoption form https://www.cognitoforms.com/thehooffhouserescueandsanctuary/petadoptionapplication Once the adoption app is filled out and approved you will be able to meet the pet or pets you are interested in. We want to be sure they are a good match for you. The home visit and meet and greet can happen at the same time. The home visit is to see where the cat or cats would be living. I can do a video chat as well. If you are out of state I will arrange transport after the chat. Once the home visit is completed, contract signed, and adoption fee paid the pet will stay with you or transport will be arranged to take the pet to you.
