Pippi's Place Pet Rescue

Pippi’s Place Pet Rescue is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to reducing the number of unwanted cats and kittens through the support of local Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs as well as placement of available felines in permanent homes. We will rescue animals who are homeless due to owner surrender, endangered due to abandonment/neglect/abuse, and those at risk of being euthanized at area shelters. We will place feline companions in loving homes following a comprehensive screening process which includes ensuring a good match between the animal and prospective adopter as well as educating potential adopters about the responsibilities associated with bringing a cat into their home. All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, receive appropriate veterinary care including any necessary treatment, and will be placed in caring foster homes until the time of adoption. We will work closely with local shelters and other rescue organizations to promote the importance of spaying/neutering companion animals. We will work with these agencies to develop a network of supporters and volunteers so that we may create a better world for homeless animals.

Meet Fluffy

Date of Birth: 8/20/24Adoption Fee: $150.00Date Posted: 12/3/24Hi! My name is Fluffy. I am the most introspective kitten of my litter often watching contentedly as my brother and sister pounce on each other like silly tigers. I am perfectly content to entertain myself whenever necessary. My foster mom says that I am the most nimble and agile runner she has ever seen. She even says I am like a race horse all compacted down into a tiny kitten body! One of my favorite toys are those little rubber balls that go flying across the floor as I stealthily swipe at them as they pass by me. Foster mom says I am just beautiful to watch because I light up the room with my playful curiosity. I really enjoy time with my humans so I will be a loving and loyal companion when I go home with my forever family. Please remember that I am a little baby who has always known the joy of a feline friend to be near me when my humans are busy. I have two siblings named Pepper and Bandit. Pepper is a girl and Bandit is a boy. I will need to be adopted with one of my litter mates or you will need to have a young companion waiting for me at home. I would really love to be with my forever family for my very first Christmas so I hope to meet you soon!

Adoption Process
Potential adopters are required to complete a detailed online application. Application screeners are trained to follow specific procedures when reviewing submitted applications. Adoption agreements are completed following approval of the application. Volunteers follow up with adopters to ensure that both people and pets are adjusting well as a family. Currently, adoption fees are $35 as Pippi's Place is partnering with Barrow County Animal Control to foster animals and facilitate adoptions. Pippi's Place will continue to partner with animal control facilities to support their TNR work through adoptions but will also eventually begin intake of its own rescues. At that point in time, adoption fees will increase to $100 for adults and $125 for kittens to help to cover expenses when the cost of spay/neuter, medication, etc. is no longer subsidized through the partnership with the animal control facility.
