Meet Pepper
Date of Birth: 8/20/24Adoption Fee: $150.00Date Posted: 12/3/24Hi! My name is Pepper. My foster mom calls me that because of my beautiful coat. It looks like pepper has been sprinkled all over my top part and like I ran through some really sticky salt on the bottom...so adorable! Foster mom uses two phrases to describe me. She says I am "sweet as apple pie" and "fast as lightning". I adore neck rubs right behind my ears and cuddles when you are sitting still (that is the sweet part!). I am spunky and fearless when zooming throughout the foster room with my litter mates (that is the fast part!). I may be a little shy at first but I warm up to new humans really quick. I will steal your heart before you even realize what has happened. Maybe that is the sweet and fast parts all mixed up together?! Please remember that I am a little baby who has always known the joy of a feline friend to entertain and cuddle with me when my humans are busy. I have two siblings named Fluffy and Bandit. Fluffy is a girl and Bandit is a boy. I will need to be adopted with one of my litter mates or you will need to have a young companion waiting for me at home. I would really love to be with my forever family for my very first Christmas so I hope to meet you soon!
Adoption Process
Potential adopters are required to complete a detailed online application. Application screeners are trained to follow specific procedures when reviewing submitted applications. Adoption agreements are completed following approval of the application. Volunteers follow up with adopters to ensure that both people and pets are adjusting well as a family.
Currently, adoption fees are $35 as Pippi's Place is partnering with Barrow County Animal Control to foster animals and facilitate adoptions. Pippi's Place will continue to partner with animal control facilities to support their TNR work through adoptions but will also eventually begin intake of its own rescues. At that point in time, adoption fees will increase to $100 for adults and $125 for kittens to help to cover expenses when the cost of spay/neuter, medication, etc. is no longer subsidized through the partnership with the animal control facility.
