Date of Birth: 12/11/23Adoption Fee: $100.00Date Posted: 1/7/25We would like to introduce beautiful Emerald Gem. That is a very distinguished, yet lengthy, name so we call her Emmy. Why? Well, it suits her cuddly personality, of course. Emmy really likes for her foster mom to carry her around the house while gently scratching her little head. Who wouldn't love moving about on a human chariot while touring the castle? LOL! Emmy was very timid when she was pulled from a loud, scary animal control facility in rural Georgia just a few weeks ago. It is just amazing how far she has come in a short while. Emmy blooms more every day thinking life is pretty good getting so much love all the time! Emmy enjoys her wonderful kitty toys almost as much as she loves hanging out with her humans. One morning, she woke her foster mom up around 6AM lying on the bed "talking" enthusiastically with a toy in her mouth as if to say, "Does it get any better than this?!". Emmy would greatly enjoy a calm home environment with a young, playful feline to be her friend and companion. Due to her gentle nature, she might very much enjoy being a big sister to a young kitten. Come meet beautiful Emmy soon...she is truly a treasure!
Adoption Process
Potential adopters are required to complete a detailed online application. Application screeners are trained to follow specific procedures when reviewing submitted applications. Adoption agreements are completed following approval of the application. Volunteers follow up with adopters to ensure that both people and pets are adjusting well as a family.
Currently, adoption fees are $35 as Pippi's Place is partnering with Barrow County Animal Control to foster animals and facilitate adoptions. Pippi's Place will continue to partner with animal control facilities to support their TNR work through adoptions but will also eventually begin intake of its own rescues. At that point in time, adoption fees will increase to $100 for adults and $125 for kittens to help to cover expenses when the cost of spay/neuter, medication, etc. is no longer subsidized through the partnership with the animal control facility.
