Meet Lex
Date of Birth: 4/12/24Adoption Fee: $100.00Date Posted: 12/28/24Hi! My name is Lex. I am an adorable little black panther with just a sprinkle of white right in the middle of my chest. I was turned in to a local animal control facility that does not allow people to come adopt us kitties. Our only chance out is if a rescue sees us and comes to save us. Even though I was sad that someone obviously loved me as a baby and then abandoned me, I am REALLY happy that the ladies at the rescue saved me. I continue to be an incredibly loving and confident boy despite the scary things that happened over the past few weeks. I am a very laid back little guy who gets along with everyone I meet, felines and humans alike! I have to get my kitten zoomies out every now and then but for the most part I am a quiet boy who would enjoy a home where my humans mainly like to chill out with me. I am extremely affectionate! My favorite spots are on your lap or right between your feet. You will fall in love with my handsome face and awesome personality to match! I would like to have a friend to hang out with me when you are out of the house. I really enjoy the company of friendly adult kitties or more mature, older kittens like me. Please come meet me soon. I am ready to go home with my family who will love me for always and never let me go!
Adoption Process
Potential adopters are required to complete a detailed online application. Application screeners are trained to follow specific procedures when reviewing submitted applications. Adoption agreements are completed following approval of the application. Volunteers follow up with adopters to ensure that both people and pets are adjusting well as a family.
Currently, adoption fees are $35 as Pippi's Place is partnering with Barrow County Animal Control to foster animals and facilitate adoptions. Pippi's Place will continue to partner with animal control facilities to support their TNR work through adoptions but will also eventually begin intake of its own rescues. At that point in time, adoption fees will increase to $100 for adults and $125 for kittens to help to cover expenses when the cost of spay/neuter, medication, etc. is no longer subsidized through the partnership with the animal control facility.
