Pippi's Place Pet Rescue

Pippi’s Place Pet Rescue is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to reducing the number of unwanted cats and kittens through the support of local Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs as well as placement of available felines in permanent homes. We will rescue animals who are homeless due to owner surrender, endangered due to abandonment/neglect/abuse, and those at risk of being euthanized at area shelters. We will place feline companions in loving homes following a comprehensive screening process which includes ensuring a good match between the animal and prospective adopter as well as educating potential adopters about the responsibilities associated with bringing a cat into their home. All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, receive appropriate veterinary care including any necessary treatment, and will be placed in caring foster homes until the time of adoption. We will work closely with local shelters and other rescue organizations to promote the importance of spaying/neutering companion animals. We will work with these agencies to develop a network of supporters and volunteers so that we may create a better world for homeless animals.

Meet Wendy

Date of Birth: 6/9/24Adoption Fee: $100.00Date Posted: 12/13/24Hi! My name is Wendy. I am an exquisitely beautiful little girl with the most enchanting green eyes you will ever see. They are absolutely stunning against my grey and white coat. I am very happy that the rescue people found me and decided to take care of me. I was wandering very close to the side of the road all by myself terrified of the noisy cars that just zoomed right by me. I am a resilient and confident little girl. The rescue people were amazed that I started exploring the new place and playing with toys right away. I especially love those ball towers that have the feather bird that sticks out of the top. I really like to swipe at it with my little white paws that look like very stylish winter boots. I love my humans and am always happy to accept hugs and pets from them. The people that found me had three little girls ranging in age from 5-years-old to 10-years -old. I enjoy playing with all of them but I especially like sleeping with the oldest when it is time to snuggle up and go to sleep at night. I will be a great companion for another kitty but dogs scare me a bit so I would rather find a forever family that enjoys feline friends. I really hope I will be home in time for my first Christmas. I will be waiting to meet you!

Adoption Process
Potential adopters are required to complete a detailed online application. Application screeners are trained to follow specific procedures when reviewing submitted applications. Adoption agreements are completed following approval of the application. Volunteers follow up with adopters to ensure that both people and pets are adjusting well as a family. Currently, adoption fees are $35 as Pippi's Place is partnering with Barrow County Animal Control to foster animals and facilitate adoptions. Pippi's Place will continue to partner with animal control facilities to support their TNR work through adoptions but will also eventually begin intake of its own rescues. At that point in time, adoption fees will increase to $100 for adults and $125 for kittens to help to cover expenses when the cost of spay/neuter, medication, etc. is no longer subsidized through the partnership with the animal control facility.
