Meet Maximus

Maximus is a 9-year old Brown Tabby American Bobtail who was purchased upon retiring as a show cat. He is very affectionate with everyone and loves being handled. He especially enjoys having his luxurious coat brushed and playing fetch with small toys. We keep his nails trimmed as he likes to knead. Max was great with our black lab mix until her passing. They would play quite energetically and we used to joke that he didn't know that he was a cat. For most of his life, he was an indoor-only cat, but we have tried letting him outside for the last few months. He is a marvelous cat except for one behavior issue which has led to our seeking a new home for him: seemingly-random episodes of urinating outside of his litter box (once every few months) which have increased as we added children to our family dynamic.
