Meet James

James is one of a large group of amazing cats that came from a shelter in rural Indiana (Auto, Dallas, Dusty, Eedy, James, Magdalene, Mary Ann, Silas, Uma and Una).  The entire group is full of super friendly, amazing cats.  They all love to be held, crave lots of pets and attention and love to play.   James is the friendliest of friendly cats.  He will reach out and tap you gently with his paws to let you know that he needs your attention.  When you put your head near his, he'll give you gentle head-butts.  When you pick him up, he'll rub his face all over yours.  He even gives kisses and rolls over for belly rubs. He is quite perfectly the perfect cat. He loves spending time in his cat tree, and can often be found on the highest perch.  He would love a window that he can look out of in his new home.   James would love to be adopted with one of the buddies that came here with him.  They all practically grew up together and really enjoy each other's company.  If a single cat is what you're looking for, he fits that bill too.  He gets along well with cats and kids of any age.  He would probably do just fine with a gentle dog too, given a proper introduction.  As long as he gets lots of love and affection, he'll do great in any home.     James is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations,  neutered, and litter box trained. Below is an overview of what you can expect during the pet adoption process: Step 1: Submit an online adoption application at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/ Step 2: Our volunteers will review your application and reach out with a status. This step can take up to five business days. Step 3: If your application is approved you will be invited to meet with the cat or dog you are interested in at a mutually agreed upon time and location. Step 4: We’ll walk you through the benefits of adopting through A.R.F., then complete the adoption paperwork and collect the adoption fee. Then your new best friend is yours! Step 5: Complete required follow-ups such as obedience training or spay/neuter (if delayed due to medical reasons).
