Meet Calypso! He’s a 7 yr old orange tabby cat that loves nothing more than food and a good place to nap. He’s an independent spirit that prefers to approach others first, but once he gets comfortable, personal space is not in his cat vocabulary. He loves to cuddle head to head with his owner and bathe in whatever sunlight he can find. He’s experienced a bit of food insecurity as a former stray, so he would do best in a patient and loving household. It’s recommended that you don’t leave any food out or he will find a way to get extra helpings. While he can warm up to other cats, he would do best in a home where he can be the center of attention. This would also be beneficial because he may try to take food from your other cats if not separated. On the bright side, he is food motivated, so you can get him to do just about anything with an edible offering. One adorable trait of Calypso is that he’s more of a howler than a meower. He is an orange cat through and through. He isn’t combative and will give you indicators that he is uncomfortable. If you’re interested in Calypso, please reach out! Calypso is microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccinations, neutered, and litter box trained. Calypso's adoption fee is $135. If you are interested in meeting Calypso, please fill out our Online Application today! Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.
