It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Meet, Athena! Athena was born in January 2024 and came into our care with her sister, Aphrodite. Athena was a timid girl, but with lots of encouragement and patience from staff, visitors and volunteers, she has found her confidence! she and her sister have turned into social butterflies! They are the first to greet anyone that comes into the cat room and absolutely love making new feline friends! With her beautiful, silky, black coat and her outgoing personality, this girl would fit into pretty much and family or lifestyle. If you're interested in Athena, please, submit and application at ITVrescue.org.All of our cats are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and spayed or neutered.
