It Takes A Village No-Kill Rescue

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Meet Faux Paw

Faux Paw is a charming brown tabby born in July 2024, with a name as unique as his story. Originally found as a stray in Spencer County, this sweet boy has been adjusting to life at the rescue. Faux Paw has not been making any "faux paws" with the other cats. He loves free roaming in our cat area, playing with the toys, interacting with other cats, and finding the coziest spots to lounge.Could Faux Paw be your perfect match?
