Meet Buck Fluffington
Buck Fluffington Domestic Shorthair, Born in December 2023, White (mostly) with black, Neutered Male Hello there! My name is Buck Fluffington, and I’m on the hunt for my forever home! My foster mom says I’m the biggest sweetheart, and I have to agree. I love getting pets, belly rubs, and hanging out with my favorite humans—just don’t expect me to be a lap cat. I prefer to admire you from a respectable distance… unless, of course, I’m in the mood for affection. Then, I’ll be sure to let you know! I’ll admit, I can be a little skittish at first—loud noises and sudden movements startle me. But give me a minute, and my curiosity will take over. I can’t help it—I have to come back and see what’s going on (especially if there are chin scritches involved). One thing you should know about me? I love other cats! If I meet a new feline friend and they hiss at me, I just flop over like, "Hey, no worries, I come in peace!" I’d love to have a friendly, playful buddy in my new home—someone to chase, wrestle, and nap with. Speaking of playtime, I have some serious soccer skills! If you roll a jingly ball my way, I’ll dribble it across the floor like a pro. I also love scratching on cardboard, sisal rope, carpet—honestly, anything I can dig my claws into (except your furniture, I promise!). I’m a well-behaved gentleman when it comes to my litter box, and I don’t mind being picked up. However, I’m not a fan of nail trims or my carrier. My foster mom has this trick where she wraps me in a blanket, comforts me, and gently tucks me into my carrier. I tolerate it… but let’s just say I’d rather be playing soccer. So, are you looking for a playful, affectionate, and all-around charming cat? Do you have a friendly kitty who needs a new best friend? If so, I think we should meet! I can’t wait to meet you! Adoption Process
Our adoption process has evolved from many years of experience. The goal of our adoption counselors is to make a good match between animal and family. We get to know each cat or dog's unique personality and different needs. If a specific dog, for example, has large amounts of energy and needs lots of space to run, it is unlikely that he would meet the needs of a person who works long hours and would be unable to exercise the dog. It would be a mismatch that would be bad for dog and human alike. Our adoption counselors look forward to working with you to help you find the right pet for your home.
