Rocky Domestic Shorthair, Born in January 2021, Mostly White with Black, Neutered male, FIV+  Rocky is FIV+. Learn More   Hey there! The name’s Rocky — yes, just like the movie! I’ve had my share of tough rounds in life, but just like that iconic underdog boxer, I’m still standing strong and ready to take on whatever comes next. I’ve got a mostly white coat with a splash of black that gives me a bit of that "cool fighter" vibe, and trust me, I've earned it.   Before I made my way to C.A.R.E., life threw me a few punches, including a nasty head wound. But just like the movie Rocky, I didn’t let it keep me down for long. I’ve kept my paws up, stayed in good spirits, and made it through the rough patches with a lot of resilience. I may have had a rocky start, but now I'm a laid-back, easygoing guy who's a total gentleman. My previous foster says I’m a perfect houseguest — I get along with both people and other cats, and I’m super chill. I’ve got a playful side too, especially when it comes to toys, and I’m a huge fan of treats (like, major Rocky Balboa-level enthusiasm for them!).   I’m FIV+, but that doesn’t stop me from being the loving, friendly guy that I am. Adoption Process
Our adoption process has evolved from many years of experience. The goal of our adoption counselors is to make a good match between animal and family. We get to know each cat or dog's unique personality and different needs. If a specific dog, for example, has large amounts of energy and needs lots of space to run, it is unlikely that he would meet the needs of a person who works long hours and would be unable to exercise the dog. It would be a mismatch that would be bad for dog and human alike. Our adoption counselors look forward to working with you to help you find the right pet for your home.
