Blair Domestic Shorthair, Born in April 2023, Tortoiseshell, Spayed female  Blair: The Survivor with a Heart of Gold — Ready for Her Next Chapter   Hey there, I'm Blair — yes, that Blair. But unlike my namesake, I’m not about the drama (unless you count my journey to find my forever home). I’ve had a rough start, but I’m ready for a fresh chapter, and maybe even a little bit of Gossip Girl-worthy glamour.   I originally came to CACC in October as a stray, and when I arrived, I was pregnant. Sadly, I lost my babies that very first night in my cage — talk about a heartbreak. I’m finally starting to feel like my old self again. A true survivor, wouldn’t you say?   I might’ve been through a lot, but I’m still a soft, affectionate girl who loves nothing more than curling up on a lap for some quality snuggle time. I’m playful, friendly, and adjusting to life outside the shelter every day. I’m learning to trust again — which, for me, is a pretty big deal. But as they say in the Upper East Side, “There’s nothing like a fresh start.” And I’m ready for mine.   So, if you're looking for a sweet, loyal companion who's been through the ringer but is ready to love and be loved, I might just be your girl. Because in the end, every Blair deserves her happy ending. Adoption Process
Our adoption process has evolved from many years of experience. The goal of our adoption counselors is to make a good match between animal and family. We get to know each cat or dog's unique personality and different needs. If a specific dog, for example, has large amounts of energy and needs lots of space to run, it is unlikely that he would meet the needs of a person who works long hours and would be unable to exercise the dog. It would be a mismatch that would be bad for dog and human alike. Our adoption counselors look forward to working with you to help you find the right pet for your home.
