Champaign Area Trap Spay Neuter and Adoption Program

Established in 2005, CATsNAP is a non-profit, volunteer based group that seeks to reduce pet overpopulation and to improve the welfare of animals in the greater Champaign County Illinois area. We strongly advocate that animals are spayed or neutered regardless of breed, sex or age. Our program offers spay and neuter assistance and basic veterinary treatment - including flea and parasite treatment and routine vaccinations - to needy or unowned animals. We also provide humane education to community and civic groups on the care of animals and the importance of spaying/neutering in population control. We have a limited intake, no-kill adoption program. Most animals are transferred from municipal animal control facilities. All animals are in foster homes or at an off-site adoption partner site. Animals are never euthanized for space. At CATsNAP, our goal is to promote successful pet ownership and place animals in a loving, pet friendly home.

Meet Silas

Silas and Ranger were found seeking shelter in an abandoned car.  These boys had a difficult start, but now they are vetted and ready!!  They want to make sure you are never bored.  Silas and Ranger play together, play-fight together, nap together, and love together!!  They like to play games such as hiding under a blanket and popping out.  Kittens should go in pairs, and this is a ready-made family of bonded brothers!  (Extra plus:  their tummy spots are so, so cute.)     Are you bored, lonely, or simply ready to take the plunge and expand your family with this pair?  Apply today!  Silas and Ranger must go together.     Thank you for your interest in a CATsNAP cat or kitten!   If you would like to meet a cat, please complete the online application located on our website catsnap.org.    We do not have a walk-in facility; most of our cats are in foster homes.  For this reason, we require an approved application on file before we set up a meet and greet.   Completing an online application does not obligate you to adopt! We care deeply about our cats and want the best match for all involved.   All CATsNAP cats and kittens are:  Vaccination against Panleukopenia (Distemper), Rhinotracheitis, and Calicivirus  Vaccination against Rabies (if animal is over 4 months of age) Testing for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV)  Initial de-worming, flea, and ear mite treatment Sterilization of the animal prior to adoption; no exceptions Micro-chipping as mandated by state law

Adoption Process
$115 up to 6 mo, $85 6mo & over, unless otherwise stated, assumed acceptance of contract including landlord releases if necessary, vet references, previous animal history, employment history, etc with finalization of adoption.
