In what can only be described as a fairy tale, this Prince was once living the life of a pauper but has had his life changed with a little bit of magic! Prince came to us as a seemingly outdoor cat with a large injury to his neck, it would seem that another animal had attacked or hurt him. With some tender care, Prince charmed his way to better health in no time! Along his journey we learned quite a bit about this Prince, including how loving and playful he is for what is believed to be a 10 year old cat! Prince does have a compromised immune system, this is known as FIV+ in cats. So although he has left behind his days of being a pauper on the street, he will need an owner that can be extra mindful of his health to keep him feeling princely all the rest of his days! Prince is missing most of his canine teeth; you will notice if you look closely that his nose dips in and he resembles another famous Prince (Lord Voldemort, aka the Prince of Slytherin). Prince was believed to be born with this feature, it does not affect his breathing or eating in any way and is just another unique and wonderful thing about him! If you are seeking a playful cat that will keep you laughing, and you don't mind wet, nibbly kisses (we call these his love bites, but in reality he is all gums in the front of his mouth so he's not likely to break the skin as there aren't any teeth there!), your Prince charming is waiting to meet you! Prince's adoption fee is $85 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccines and FeLV/FIV testing. Prince is FIV+ and is seeking an indoor only home. If you would like to meet Prince, please submit an adoption application through our website, Adopthope.org. Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept their pets altered, as indoor pets only and a history of having been kept current on all vaccines.
Adoption Process
Prior to adoption, all of our dogs have been tested for heartworm, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet check and home visit.
The adoption fee for dogs and puppies varies.
Prior to adoption, our cats have been tested for feline leukemia, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. If at the time of adoption, the kitten is too young to be spayed or neutered, an agreed upon time frame will be set for when this procedure is to be done. Spaying or neutering is not an optional procedure, it is required of all animals we rescue.
The adoption fee for cats and kittens varies.
