It’s a well-known fact that Trixie is a stunning house-panther with golden eyes and a loving disposition, but what a lot of people don’t know is that Trixie is also incredibly intelligent. True story - Trixie had been frequenting a campground where some campers were setting out food for her. The campers could see that Trixie was nursing, but they couldn’t find her babies. The last night, one of the campers begged Trixie to lead her to the babies, because it was going to snow the next day, and the campers were heading home. The next morning, the campers went outside and saw that Trixie had brought her babies to the campsite. The campers loaded Trixie and three fat little tabby kittens into their camper and brought her home. Trixie has settled into being a housecat very well. She is litterbox trained, spayed, and up to date on her shots. This kitty loves to be petted. She can be picked up without fuss, but she is more fond of sitting beside you and getting all the loving. Trixie gets along beautifully with other cats, and is ready for a forever home! Trixie's adoption fee is $85 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations, and an FIV-FeLV test. Trixie is seeking an indoor only home and Last Hope requires all adopters have a history of keeping their pets altered and current on vaccinations/preventatives. Our adoption process includes a background check, vet history check, and a home visit. If you would like to meet or adopt Trixie please fill out an adoption application on our website, adopthope.org.
Adoption Process
Prior to adoption, all of our dogs have been tested for heartworm, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet check and home visit.
The adoption fee for dogs and puppies varies.
Prior to adoption, our cats have been tested for feline leukemia, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. If at the time of adoption, the kitten is too young to be spayed or neutered, an agreed upon time frame will be set for when this procedure is to be done. Spaying or neutering is not an optional procedure, it is required of all animals we rescue.
The adoption fee for cats and kittens varies.
