Meet Vanessa

Vanessa was an owner surrender when the owner could no longer care for her.  She is about 2 years old as of Jan, 2025.  Vanessa is a very beautiful calico girl who is also kind of selective on who she wants to bond with....cat lovers are first in line for her.  Vanessa has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV, is spayed and current on shots.  Her adoption fee is $80 with an approved application which is available at mchs.rescuegroups.org.  You must be 21 to adopt from MCHS and a pet carrier is required at the time of adoption.  Our address is 101 22 ST SE, Austin, MN.  We are located off of I-90 via exit 180B to 218 SOUTH.  We are just past our local airport.  THANKS!

Adoption Process
Starts with written Application form which includes questions regarding housing situation (rent/own etc. renters require landlord approval), History of previous or current pets, Vet information, Animal housing information (cats must be indoors, dogs fenced yard etc.). Fees for Cat Adoptions are $50 (or $75 for two) Dogs vary based on breed, size, etc. Average is $125.
