Meet Charles

dob 11/22/21 When Charles' elderly owner was no longer able to care for him, he was passed from home to home for months until the last person to take him in called TC Paw for help. Charles' story isn't a happy one recently. He's been traumatized, first by being declawed, which is never good for a cat, and then taken from the home he knew and handed off from one person who didn't really want him to another. The worst is his being driven out someplace and dumped by a man heartless enough to do that to a declawed indoor pet and then, according to the story we got, return home with an empty cage to tell his wife he had taken care of the problem. Charles is a friendly cat, but he's been insecure and afraid for so long that his behavior is sometimes aggressive. He gestures with his mouth like he will bite when he's afraid. He has bitten in a confrontation with an unfamiliar cat. Charles does not like other cats. He needs to live as the only pet in a quiet, secure home for long enough to stop being scared all the time. Charles likes to knead and suckle on textured materials, like your robe. He rumble purrs and seems so happy. We are hoping every day for an experienced cat owner to end to the disruption he has endured and give Charles a loving home he can finally trust.
