About

Meet Amira

dob 11/4/24 Amira is the only kitten in the group we call the Mancelona 9, rescued just before Christmas from an unheated camper trailer where they'd been abandoned. In her TC Paw foster home, she hid and was timid, but she's coming out now and warming up to touch more all the time. Still a bit timid but friendly. She needs a slow approach for pets or play, but once you're interacting, she's all purrs and flops.  Amira loves playing with the three tier tower of tracks toy. She's obsessed. And she likes the cat scratch wall mat. She plays with the other cats in her foster home, and she's good at entertaining herself too. She checks things out on her own. Amira likes affection, but not being held for along time. We're working on that and seeing improvement. With Amira, the thing is to take it slow and to build trust. We think she'll be good with kids who are old enough to be patient and not startle her.  A patient fur-ever home with lots of toys and a cat or two to play with would be the cat's meow for little Amira.
