Hi, I’m Peeps! I’m the little tabby with the most white fur in the group, and I’ve got a curious and playful personality to match! I’m one of five siblings—my brother Coop is the only guy, and I have three wonderful sisters: Chickira (the tortie with a gentle nature), Dixie (the smaller dark tabby who’s super sweet), and Dumplin (the black and white cutie who loves cuddles). We all came to our human on October 28th, after being rescued from a chicken coop, and that’s how we all got our chicken-themed names! I like to think “Peeps” is a perfect fit for me because I’m always peeping around, checking things out, and getting into a little bit of mischief. I’m not shy at all—if there’s something new to explore or a toy to pounce on, you can bet I’m all in! When we’re not busy being playful, I’m definitely a cuddle bug. My siblings and I love to snuggle together, especially when it’s nap time. We’re all super affectionate, and we come running as soon as we hear our human’s voice or know it’s time for wet food! We’re the purr machines of the house—always purring, always happy to see you. Oh, and we’re totally litter box trained like the good little kittens we are! We get along with the resident cat in the house. He’s very chill, and we like hanging out with him. The two golden retrievers are a little intimidating at times, but we’re getting braver! We sneak up on them and sniff them out, and I think we’ll all get more comfortable as time goes on. Who knows? Maybe soon we’ll be snuggling with them, too! I’ve grown so close to my siblings, and I think we’d all be happiest in a home where we can stick together or have other playful kittens or cats to keep us company. We’ve had each other through everything, and we’d be a little lost without our crew. So, if you have another kitty or are looking to adopt a couple of us together, we’d love that! I’m located in Clear Lake, and I usually meet people at the PetSmart in Monticello for exchanges. If you’re looking for a playful, loving kitten who’s always up for an adventure or a snuggle, I might just be the one for you! Let me know if you’d like to see more pictures of me and my siblings—I’d be happy to share them! Purrs and playful paw taps, Peeps Peeps is from a stray surrender with 4 siblings. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals. Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
