Meet Samantha

Samantha is a calm collective girl who loves to bask in the warm cozy sunbeam in her favorite spot... the window perch. Samantha is a sweet cat who came from outside, she wandered upon a hobby farm and claimed her stake and for 3 years she was known as the 'garage cat'. She was so proud to contribute as she caught mice for the family. Samantha showed affection and gratitude to the family that kept her safe and fed. When the family was out and about, Samantha would follow them from the garage to the barn. She was happy with her new family and came when called. Samantha was dreaming of the day she could be inside with the humans. She has always been grateful for the love and care the family was able to provide her and she hoped one day for more and when this family moved from their hobby farm, Samantha knew he wish would one day come true. When Samantha arrived, she was a bit overweight. Since then, she has been focused on living her best life now that she has landed in foster care. Samantha has been improving her diet and wellbeing and has been successful getting closer to her ideal weight. Samantha loves brushing and the bonding opportunity it presents for her and her human. Samantha does well with other cats that respect the boundaries she establishes. She does well with her friend Arlo who is a orange & white, handsome, respectful gentleman cat. Adoption Process
We have an adoption application, check references, talk to the applicant, have them meet the pet, sign a contract and pay adoption fees: The verbiage from our adoption contract: I accept receipt form Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue of the cat/kitten stated above. I understand that all animals are spayed or neutered before adoption can take place. I understand that a veterinarian has checked every animal. If this animal should show any sign of illness within the first week, I agree to call the foster listed above. Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue will provide care and needed medicines for one week from the date of adoption for any pre-existing condition, provided a Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue approved veterinarian treats the animal. I understand that Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue provides no warranty regarding future health or behavior. Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue can only give me information as has been received by or has been observed by Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue regarding this animal. We will not disclose your name or personal information to anyone outside of Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue. If within the next 2 years, I am unable to keep this animal, I must contact Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue to give Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue the opportunity to take the animal back before giving the animal to another person or shelter. If at any time, Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue is to accept the animal back, Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue first priority for that intake over new animals. Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue shall demand the return of the animal for reason of neglect. I will make no charges against Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue of any type for licensing, care, food, or other eservices, unless pre-approved by Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue.
