Bonded to Pebble Marble is a brave and curious 6 mo. old girl! Almost from the moment she arrived at my house she was out and about investigating everything. She’s always ready for a good play session and loves carrying her toys around in her mouth before she finds a good spot to start the game! Marble loves affection and is learning that sitting in laps means even more petting, though she isn't too sure about being picked up and held yet. Marble has a stunning smokey black tabby coat and big curious yellow eyes - it's fun to watch her take in her new surroundings and play! So far she's seen my two resident cats through a gate with the door cracked and showed no aggression, even as my cat walked up and hissed. However, she did puff up when my dog walked past so she'll definitely need some time and slow introductions to get used to any canine siblings. Her litter box use has also been impeccable! Though she’s not as shy as her brother, Pebble, Marble is a great match for him, and it’s important they go to their forever home together. Their bond is incredibly special, and they’ll bring so much joy to a loving and patient family. They love to play, eat, and sleep together! If you're looking for a playful, brave kitty with a stunning coat and a heart full of love, Marble might just be your perfect match - especially if you're ready to welcome her and her brother, Pebble, into your home! Marble is from an owner surrender with his brother. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals. Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
