Meet Iris

Iris (7 years old)  Iris is a striking long-haired tortoiseshell. She’s a big girl, so combined with her long hair she is quite sizable. Some of her hair might have to be cut while she's here at the shelter, however, as she has a few mats here and there. But never fear, that beautiful coat will grow in as luxurious as ever! This is a kitty who definitely requires some pampering and grooming in the hair department from her humans. She’s very chatty and will carry on a conversation with you. Like many torties, she seems confident and acts like she owns the place (even though she would much prefer a cozy home with soft cat beds and plenty of affection). She will need some time to settle into a new place, and she would love an understanding family who wants to adore her and her regal nature.

Adoption Process
http://catscradleshelter.org/CCS/how-to-adopt/ An interview with the executive director is done prior to adoption. Not everyone is approved to adopt. Those that are approved have the cat for a 3 week trial period, where they can return cat and get a refund. Beyond that, we always want our cats back if the adoptive household can no longer care for it, but after 3 weeks, the adoption fee is not refunded. An adoption contract is completed prior to final adoption. Adoption fees are $118 including tax.
