Meet Casey / Lil Spice
Casey (4-months-old) and Lil Spice (3-months-old) are a sweet and precious kitten duo looking for their forever home together! While not biological littermates, these girls were introduced to each other at a very young age and bonded immediately. They treat each other like sisters and are often snuggling, playing and following each other around. Lil Spice is the most adorably unique cinnamon tortie you’ve ever seen! She is silly and playful, with equal parts cuddly and affectionate. She has a giant rumbly purr that can be heard from across the room. She greets her humans at the door, eager for her favorite pets. She absolutely adores being scratched right on the tippy top of the bridge of her nose. She’s a wiggly little worm, always finding something silly to play with. Whether it be chasing her tail, biting the button of her foster mom’s sweater or chasing her sister Casey around, Spice girl can always find something fun to do. She especially enjoys rolling little ping pong balls across the room. At any time of the day, her foster mom can find at least 5 ping pong balls under the couch, a telltale sign that lots of fun was had. When Spice has gotten all of her wiggles out and is ready for a snuggle, she enjoys being picked up where she either melts into the lap of or on the shoulder of her foster human.Casey is the precious mini panther with a curiosity and bravery that makes her foster mom so proud. When Casey landed in foster care 1 ½ months ago, she was flighty and skittish. Hands were very intimidating to her, and she preferred to hangout in her hidey house where she could safely observe the strange 2-legged humans she now lived with. Over the last 45 days, Casey has made leaps and bounds of progress – so much progress that her foster human often has tears in her eyes when she leaves the foster room. Casey no longer hides, but loves being out and about playing with her toys, chasing Spice around and laying near her foster mom. She still gets nervous when she sees hands approaching her, but loves being scratched on her head, chin and neck. She makes her foster laugh with the way that she drools when she gets her favorite scratches. She’s even recently begun purring when her foster mom comes into her room, showing that she’s really learning to open up and trust! Just like her sister, Casey can always be counted on to engage in a game of soccer. She also loves running, jumping and chasing wand toys, getting the cutest little “crazy eyes” when she dials in on catching the “prey”. Lil Spice and Casey are best friends and encourage one another in each of their weaknesses. Lil Spice’s social personality helps show Casey that humans are friends who can be trusted. It’s pretty special the way Casey looks towards Lil Spice to lead the way. And lead the way does she ever. She might be small, but Lil Spice girl is mighty!Casey and Lil Spice currently live in their very own room of their foster house. They do fantastic with other cats and are very comfortable with felines. Because Casey is still more reserved, they would prefer to live in a quieter home without crazy dogs or young kids. They would especially love humans who understand and look forward to the reward that comes with giving quieter cats time and patience to come out of their shell. Overall, these girls bring so much joy and livelihood to their foster home. The way they open up and trust is so fulfilling and is going to make someone feel like the luckiest person ever.
