Freddie is a one-and-a-half-year-old, charming young cat looking for his forever home! This sweet boy is dark gray with a white mask, back legs and booties, and green eyes. He has a dark gray matching "barcode" (patch) on the back of one of his white back feet. Freddie is mellow and calm but loves for you to help him play with catnip mice, wand toys, tunnels and a rechargeable fish toy. He's a joy to be around, very quiet (he has a high, soft voice), tidy (perfect litter box behavior and no spraying) and smart, learning to stay off the kitchen counters in our house, in his daily "full house" time. Although he can nap fine on his own, he craves cuddles, either in your arms, on your lap, or in bed. One of the first things we noticed is that he makes biscuits in the air with his huge paws whenever he looks at either my husband or me, but he's never used his claws on us, even during vigorous interactive play. He does sometimes do kitten bites when he's excited, but with a gentle, verbal ""no bite,"" he stops. Freddie's energetic during interactive playtime (something that should happen every day), but in general, he's a pretty mellow guy. Freddie has been staying in our house's spare bedroom, separate from our two older cats and a very elderly dog. We're two older adults, and since he's been in our house, he hasn't had any contact with children or other people, although we think he'd be just fine. From what we know now, Freddie would do well in a home with a single person or a couple, with either no dogs or a gentle, cat-friendly dog with a low prey drive (no rottweilers or huskies, please). Cats are still a question--although a younger cat, up to a year old, may be able to help him with feline socialization. We've been able to pet him since we brought him in from the cold, and we've also worked at desensitizing him so that he's okay with petting his stomach, legs, etc., and we've trimmed his nails a couple of times. This adorable boy came in from the outdoor life and is so ready to enjoy the cozy indoor vibes with caring, compassionate humans. If you’re around a lot and enjoy young-cat playtime and giving lots of cuddles, Freddie would love to meet you! All ages and breeds are a best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow-up visits. Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat?
