Meet Peppermint Patty

Hi! My name is Patty, and I am a five-year-old sweet calico girl looking for my forever home. I’m new to living indoors, and I am LOVING it. You see, I was living outside and not doing very well before coming into rescue. You might notice my ears look a little odd. I had frostbite on my ears, nose, feet and tail, and I ended up losing part of my ear. The vet also thinks that someone shot me with a bb gun. Despite my tough start, I have been super sweet since coming into my foster home; this is the good life! I’m still a bit thin, but I have a great appetite and use my litter box like a champ! Oh, I’m also polydactyl and have “thumbs” on my front paws. It’s pretty adorable if I do say so myself. I love living indoors and lounging in the sunlight and curling up in front of a heat vent. I can be playful, but mostly I am sweet and like to talk to the humans and curl up to get pets. Since I’m new to rescue, my fosters haven’t gotten to know my full personality yet. But, based on what I’ve showed them so far, they think I’m a fantastic cat! I’m pretty mellow. I like to watch out the window and lounge on the bed. I do play sometimes, but I really like to snuggle up by the human when they are reading a book or watching a show. I currently have my own room in my fosters’ house. I like coming out to explore the rest of the house. I’ve started introductions to the cat and dog who live here. We are still getting to know each other through the door, and I’m curious about the other cat, but wary of the dog. Once I let my fosters know how I feel about the resident pets, they will provide an update. I would love a calm and comfortable home where I can relax and get a lot of attention. I haven’t met any children, but as long as they are respectful, we should get along. I’ll likely get along with other cats if we have a slow introduction. If you’re ready for an affectionate, gentle friend in your family, I would love to meet you! Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat?
