* Bonded to Pebble * Marble is a brave and curious 6 mo. old girl! Almost from the moment she arrived at my house she was out and about investigating everything. She’s always ready for a good play session and loves carrying her toys around in her mouth before she finds a good spot to start the game! Marble has turned into quite the lovebug, and has discovered that she really appreciates a warm lap with a soft blanket, though she isn't too sure about being picked up and held. Marble has a stunning smokey black tabby coat and big curious yellow eyes - it's fun to watch her take in her new surroundings. She gets along wonderfully with my two resident cats and though it took her a little time and a slow intro, she now coexists very peacefully with my dog. She's still pretty skittish with sudden movements and loud noises though, so for that reason it may be best for her to be in a home without small children or super energetic dogs. Marble and her brother, Pebble, have a very special bond – they love to sleep, eat, and play together, and even enjoy a good co-bathing session! They are both now altered and fully up to date with vetting, not to mention they both have impeccable litter box use! If you're looking for a playful pair, with stunning coats and hearts full of love, please consider Marble and Pebble. Marble is from an owner surrender with his brother. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals. Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
