*This animal is located at our same-day adoption center partner, Coon Rapids PetSmart. Please contact this location prior to visiting to ensure this animal is still available. A paper adoption application will be completed on site so please do not submit an online adoption application. For more information on adopting from one of our adoption center partners, please visit our Adoption Center Animals page. Meet Daffodil, a gentle and sweet black-and-white kitty who's estimated to be around 7 months old. This quiet, curious girl loves human attention and has even met a group of older kids, showing just how friendly and adaptable she is. Daffodil enjoys exploring her surroundings and discovering new places, but she’s also content to relax and enjoy some snuggles when the mood strikes. Though she doesn’t seem to mind the other cats in her space, Daffodil does appreciate slow introductions, allowing her to get comfortable in new environments or with new friends. Found as a stray and brought in from the local impound, Daffodil is ready to find a loving home where she can continue to grow and share her affectionate nature. Could you be the one to welcome this sweet, quiet girl into your heart? Daffodil is from an owner surrender. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals. Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
