Meet Cooper

Cooper was rescued in the Austin area during Feb, 2025 when no one responded to ads to find an owner.  He is about 9 months to a year old.  He came to us with a wound on his neck which was addressed with vet care and has healed nicely.  Cooper is a friendly guy and does fine with the cats here at MCHS.  He has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV, is now neutered and is current on shots.  Adoption fee is $80 with a completed application which is available at mchs.rescuegroups.org.  You must be 21 to adopt from MCHS and a pet carrier is required at the time of adoption.  Our address is 101 22 ST SE, Austin, MN.  We are located off of I-90 via exit 180B to 218 SOUTH.  We are just past our local airport.  THANKS.

Adoption Process
Starts with written Application form which includes questions regarding housing situation (rent/own etc. renters require landlord approval), History of previous or current pets, Vet information, Animal housing information (cats must be indoors, dogs fenced yard etc.). Fees for Cat Adoptions are $50 (or $75 for two) Dogs vary based on breed, size, etc. Average is $125.
