Icicle is an 8-month-old, sweet little cat looking for his forever home! This beautiful panther came into Pet Haven with a cervical salivary mucocele (a soft, painless swelling in the neck) that may or may not need surgery. He has a vet visit to review condition and determine next steps is on 2/11/25 and he is not adoptable until vet approval. Icicle is a sweet, chill cat who loves a balance of playtime and naptime. When awake, he loves to play with toys either by himself, with a human, or with another cat. Any toy with a jingly bell gets his attention immediately. Feathers and anything on a string get a lot of love, too. A scratching post where he can really stretch out is much appreciated. He’s chill and is more of a “taking it all in” guy than a “crazy zoomies” guy. When sleepy after his feather games, he will cuddle up in a warm place, sometimes in bed with you! He is a very good boy that is respectful of his environment—no furniture scratching or chewed up plants with this guy! He is talkative; though you may not see him blending in with the shadows when you first walk in the room you will hear a ""meep"" to let you know where he is, and then you will see his big round eyes! He may need a few days to warm up but once he's comfortable, Icicle will be following you from room to room, ""meeping"" and butting his head on you. Once he is ready, he loves being pet all over and will purr like no other. This handsome fellow currently lives in a quiet, small apartment with one human and a very outgoing and playful cat of similar age. He is occasionally startled by the other cat but is interested in getting to know him when he is calm. Icicle would benefit from a home that can be fairly quiet/chill for the first few days to help him get comfortable. After an introductory period, he would thrive in a wide variety of environments! He has met and become used to multiple humans and is interested in befriending the other cat in the household. He would do great with a cat buddy that can play and cuddle with him, although it might be best for the friend(s) to be on the chill side - he does tend to get a little startled by very high energy young cats. Same with children—respectful, cat savvy-children would be just fine. Icicle will let you know when he needs some alone time by quickly exiting the scene to take a little break. If you spend a bit of time with him before approaching him, that really helps this guy feel comfortable. (Churus work wonders!) He doesn’t love being picked up but is a big fan of petting—and won’t hold a grudge if you can’t resist holding him for a little bit. In these chilly days and nights, who wouldn’t want to sit on a cozy couch and let this lovely icicle melt your heart? Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat?
