We found Quin in the rubble of the collapsed barn. He seemed friendly, but was very thin, had a profound head tilt, had difficulty climbing down from elevated heights and difficulty chasing toys – he was not able to track the toy very long with his eyes. We took him to see the vet and had him examined. The vet thought that he was a much older cat, but did not find any active infections or tumors in his ears and explained to us that the head tilt may have been from a past infection and/ or some kind of trauma. Quin has settled in nicely here at the sanctuary and enjoys his days hanging out in his cat tree and walking around, greeting the other cats. He will at times poop and/or pee outside of his litter box, and he has a ramp to get up into his cat tree. So a quiet, one level home would be best with someone who has patience and understands senior felines. Quin will chase a toy as best as he can and seems to enjoy it! We are not really sure of Quin’s age, but he is definitely an older guy who may have some arthritis and/or neurological issues (head tilt). If you would like to give Quin the loving retirement home he derserves contact us at 715-468-7784 or [email protected]
