Meet Wiz

Wiz was found on 2/28/25 shivering in a window well.  Someone found him and brought him to our shelter.  He was probably born during the summer of 2024.  This little guy is now neutered and current on shots. He is a very active little guy who does fairly well with the other cats.  He has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV.  Adoption fee is $80 to an indoor only home.  You must be 21 to adopt from MCHS and a pet carrier is required at the time of adoption.  To meet Wiz or any of our other pets, go to mchs.rescuegroups.org and complete and submit our online application.  We will review and get in touch to set up a meeting time.  Our address is 101 22 ST SE, Austin, MN.  We are located off of I-90 via exit 180B to 218 SOUTH.  We are just past our local airport.  THANKS.

Adoption Process
Starts with written Application form which includes questions regarding housing situation (rent/own etc. renters require landlord approval), History of previous or current pets, Vet information, Animal housing information (cats must be indoors, dogs fenced yard etc.). Fees for Cat Adoptions are $50 (or $75 for two) Dogs vary based on breed, size, etc. Average is $125.
