* Bonded to Marble * Pebble is a sweet and gentle 6 mo. old boy with a shy side, though he’s made a ton of progress over the past few weeks! He’s still working on fully trusting people, so he will need time to settle in and get comfortable, but he is learning he likes affection and is starting to purr like a champ. Pebble has a very playful heart though, and when he gets going, he really gets going! He loves carrying his toys around in his mouth before playing. It’s adorable to watch him in play mode as he’s long and lanky, and a little clumsy! Pebble has a super cool marbled tabby coat that gives him a unique, eye-catching look! He reminds me of a clouded leopard! He’s still pretty skittish with sudden movements and loud noises though, so for that reason it may be best for her to be in a home without small children or super energetic dogs. He gets along very well with my resident cats and his apprehension about my dog is nearly gone, after a very slow intro. Pebble and his sister, Marble, have a very special bond – they love to sleep, eat, and play together, and even enjoy a good co-bathing session! They are both now altered and fully up to date with vetting, not to mention they both have impeccable litter box use! If you're looking for a playful pair, with stunning coats and hearts full of love, please consider Marble and Pebble. Pebble is from an owner surrender with his sister. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals. Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
