Meet Baby / Smokey
Smokey (18 years old) and Baby (15 years old) are a sweet bonded senior pair looking for their cuddle partner(s) as they live out their golden years! While physically opposite, both love to nap and cuddle with occasional bursts of playfulness. Baby will want you to treat her just like one, while Smokey takes a few more days to get comfortable around the house. Neither cat likes to be picked up or held, but they more than make up for it in snuggles. Smokey enjoys finding elevated areas to look out the windows and monitor everything outside. He takes a bit more time to be comfortable outside his designated area, but once he knows he’s safe, this handsome guy wants to be your shadow. He’s particularly curious about the shower but wisely continues to sit outside it while you get ready. Smokey has 6 toes on each front paw that give him some extra pizzazz and a cute mitten look! He does have arthritis which bothers him if he doesn’t get it treated regularly for pain management. They both have kidney issues, which will need to be monitored by their vet. These two prefer Friskie’s wet food (chicken flavor) as their meal of choice. Baby immediately wants to keep you company in everything you do from working to relaxing on the couch (when she’ll lay on your chest and purr), to bedtime (where she’ll continue to sooth you with her purrs and cuddles). When she feels she’s not getting enough attention from you, she’ll use her (declawed) paws on your arm in the cutest way that is hard to say no, but she also knows when to walk away if you aren’t able to respond! Smokey and Baby currently live in a single-person household with their foster human and a medium-sized older dog. These sweeties both took to the dog quickly and sometimes all three cuddle on the couch together. They are loyal friends who should stay together and would do best in a calmer environment with gentle, cat-savvy older children and/or other chill, relaxed pets. If you are looking for companions who only want to love you and be loved, these two are for you! Older cats have so much affection and quiet joy to offer—Baby and Smokey would be so happy to brighten your day as winter turns to spring. Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat?
