Meet Rusty

Rusty is a joyfully sweet kitten who can and will wiggle her way into your heart. Her favorite spot in the world is riding or resting on her human companion's shoulder. Rusty is usually in a favorable position of having the upper paw or head start! She is a free-for-all kitty and hides her power, but you will soon see-through Rusty's influence! Her ideal home is with an individual, couple or family. Rusty will be a gentle playmate with another kitten; she currently has a smooth relationship with 2-month-old Eleanore. Rusty should do okay with a cat-friendly dog. She is solid black with a short coat. Rusty has light green eyes and demure whiskers! As of October 2024, Rusty is 4 months old      Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets (FJCASP) is a foster-based rescue for dogs and cats. All pets are in a home environment cared for by a foster person who provides temporary care until the pet can be placed in a permanent home. Friends of Jackson County is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Adoption Process
Prospective adopter must fill out application/contract. Our adoption coordinator calls to verify that all other animals in the home are under vet care and utd on vaccinations, preventatives and are spayed/neutered. Home visits are done to verify fenced yard, shelter, etc. Our normal adoption fee is $50.00
