Meet Schroeder

  Schroeder is moody and musical! He is independent and free. Schroeder enjoys being petted and handled in a tender way but he's not going to chase down his human companion for a pat on the head! He treasures playing with catnip toys, tosses them in the air and attacks them. Schroeder's ideal home is with an individual, couple or family. He goofs around with his littermate Charlie and likes to entertain kittens! Schroeder will hiss at an unknown cat in his presence, but this should diminish with time. He does well with a cat-friendly dog and has been witnessed playing with a canine. Schroeder has a polished and buffed black medium length coat and produces big round hazel eyes when something gets his attention. As of August 2024, Schroeder is 4 months old.      Friends of Jackson County Animal Shelter Pets (FJCASP) is a foster-based rescue for dogs and cats. All pets are in a home environment cared for by a foster person who provides temporary care until the pet can be placed in a permanent home. Friends of Jackson County is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Adoption Process
Prospective adopter must fill out application/contract. Our adoption coordinator calls to verify that all other animals in the home are under vet care and utd on vaccinations, preventatives and are spayed/neutered. Home visits are done to verify fenced yard, shelter, etc. Our normal adoption fee is $50.00
