Meet Prissy
This is Prissy's story : Prissy was adopted from Heartland back in 2016. She was only 8 weeks old. She’s been with the same family all this time. Since her adoption the family has grown. Children were born, Inlaws who share the home grew elderly, and her doggy buddy passed away. Prissy loved her canine brother and also loves her human siblings, but the changes in her environment in her home may have led to her acting out in her own way. She started seeking attention by not using her litter box. It was determined that she had bladder crystals and has been on special food for that, but her behavior around the litter box hadn't changed. Experience has taught us that kitty behavior can be corrected. And it has ! Being in a less stressful environment seems to be all she needed (and her prescription food!). Prissy has not had any accidents in her foster home. She started off scared and depressed but now she is thriving. She loves cuddles and pets. She likes being the "small spoon" when we nap together. She is showing more interest in toys but also loves looking out the window. Prissy is spayed. Microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and is current on vaccinations. She gets along with the other fosters in the home, and at one time had a doggy brother so with proper introduction she should be fine with dogs. She's a big girl with lots of love and affection to share! 10158jt
Adoption Process
the first step in our process is an
application. The questions on the application are designed to
determine if the pet would be a good fit in this home. We contact the
applicants veterinarian to verify they have a good history of
previous (or current) pet care. We meet the applicant at Petsmart or
at their home to allow them to interact with the pet they are
interested in adopting. If all goes well the adoption is finalized.
We have an adoption contract, requiring regular vet care, indoor
homes, return to us if it doesnt work out, etc. Our dog adoption fee
is $175, cats range from $80 for older cats to $125 for kittens
