Hi, my name is Purrito! I am a medium haired grey tabby cat with some Maine Coon in me. I have big paws! I am affectionate and playful. I will take a little bit to warm up as I'm still shy around loud noises, lots of people and sudden movements but I do love a good pet. I was found as a young kitten with my brofur, Skippy Jon Jones, at a gas station in Wright City, MO. I was living under the shed until the nice lady at Heartland trapped me. I had a puncture wound on my neck and some burns from the scorching blacktop. My foster mommy treated my wounds, got me healthy and now I'm ready to be adopted. I am good with other kitties, dogs, maybe older children and humans of course. I have a big purr box. I wouldn't mind being adopted with my brofur but it's not a requirement. I just need lots of love, yummy food, toys and a warm lap.
Adoption Process
the first step in our process is an
application. The questions on the application are designed to
determine if the pet would be a good fit in this home. We contact the
applicants veterinarian to verify they have a good history of
previous (or current) pet care. We meet the applicant at Petsmart or
at their home to allow them to interact with the pet they are
interested in adopting. If all goes well the adoption is finalized.
We have an adoption contract, requiring regular vet care, indoor
homes, return to us if it doesnt work out, etc. Our dog adoption fee
is $175, cats range from $80 for older cats to $125 for kittens
